− | The Blastforge produces a resource called Behemium, that is more commonly referred to as “blue.” If the blue produced by the Blastforge is not used during your turn it decays and is not stored. In most cases, you do not want to buy a Blastforge and fail to take advantage of the blue resource, since that is inefficient play. It is far better to buy more [[Drone]]s or another resource type until your economy can support using the available blue resource each turn. |

Short of special units in the Randomized set, you will typically be following your first Blastforge with either a [[Wall]] or a [[Steelsplitter]]. As blue resource basic units are the most defensive and absorptive of the basic units means that you can keep this investment alive for a short while as you ramp up to more advance blue technology. |

Blastforge is a Colorless unit. It's part of the basic set.
Strategy
The Blastforge produces a resource called Behemium, that is more commonly referred to as “blue.” If the blue produced by the Blastforge is not used during your turn it decays and is not stored. In most cases, you do not want to buy a Blastforge and fail to take advantage of the blue resource, since that is inefficient play. It is far better to buy more Drones or another resource type until your economy can support using the available blue resource each turn.
Short of special units in the Randomized set, you will typically be following your first Blastforge with either a Wall or a Steelsplitter. As blue resource basic units are the most defensive and absorptive of the basic units means that you can keep this investment alive for a short while as you ramp up to more advance blue technology.
The most expensive blue units in Prismata require 3 blue resources. This means having 3 Blastforges in play, or some alternative such as a Synthesizer. A lot of these expensive blue units are also limited in supply, so consider how you will transition from playing these expensive units into an army (typically Steelsplitters are the way to go).
